Color change from camera view to photoshop

I had something interesting occur. I took a picture of some Xenia which appears very close to red to the eye, and when looking at it back through the camera, it also appears more red (which is correct btw). However when I open the file into Photoshop (which automatically converts to a Jpeg) the color is muted turning the Xenia a dusky purple red.
Is there anyway to keep the vibrant color that the camera file shows?

The LCD display on the camera probably has the color saturation (and brightness) ramped way up. In Photoshop hit "Ctrl Alt M" and see what happens to the photo. Or manually adjust the exposure/saturation in Photoshop.

Are you shooting raw? The camera back will be a jpg preview and raw files will need adjusted to get the pop back.

viewing on different screens, screen Vs laptop, or Vs mobile can show differences due to screen calibration.
Also different applications can deal with different colors files differently.
This is why professional screens come calibrated and calibration tools and devices exist.

BeardedMcg: Yes I was shooting in raw. I will try adjusting.

Maroun.c: Image was examined in both formats on the same desktop. Only the format used to view the picture changed.
