Does anyone know if the 9012 come configured as a contact skimmer or a countercurrent skimmer? I want to use it as a countercurrent skimmer so I can inject ozone into it. The instructions say to install the motor housing cover but it looks mine came with the motor housing cover installed. Does that make it operate as a countercurrent skimmer?

Yes, with the cover installed they operate in countercurrent mode, this change happened mid last year, they now ship with the cover not installed and loose in the accessories bag.
