Trying to find a small pump to eliminate dead spots near the bottom of my 150. Suggestions for compact dc controllable pump that will actually stay in place the glass on my tank is just barely over .5 inch.

Tunze is my go to, can point them in any direction. They have great flow and will last forever.

The new AI Nero 5 has upgraded magnets for 1/2" up to .63 inches thick. Great pump for a 150 gallon tank.

Maybe I should have included this….also NOT trying to spend a ton….lol! Just create some flow along the surface of my sand bed.

I have my Nero 5's on 19mm glass and holds just fine. Very programmable.

It looks like the jebao DMP line will work on one half. You could go with the smallest one or second smallest one and get the wide flow cage from Etsy.
