Compete with GSP?

What coral can you grow on the rock with Green Star Polyps that will be aggressive enough to keep the GSP in check from taking it over? Would Playthoas do it?

You can just peel it back and cut it

It's on the bottom of a deep tank. Part of a large pillar of rocks that is not easily removed. I was hoping something could grow above them on the pillar and keep them from going vertically.
