Yep, that's how they lay them. It's unlikely they'll make it past the free swimming larval stage though, so don't worry about being overrun by them
I'm not saying it can't be done though. There's plenty of scientific literature out there regarding the aquaculture of conchs. I've even seen aquacultured fighting conchs for sale. So if you have a spare tank laying around and some phyto...lolI can only dream lol
