Conch recommendations

Hi

I’m looking to get some opinion on what would be some good species of conchs to pursue preferably ones that have the greatest pallet. Looking to get some CUC that’s stay in the sand bed and cover a lot of ground. Unfortunately, my sand sifters prefer to have snorgies in the corners all day and the snails are everywhere but the sand.

What do you mean by greatest pallet?

Do you mean palate as in they can qualify to be Michelin level food critics? (I joke)

I assume you mean they are willing to eat the most varied of algae/detritus?

I would imagine you wouldn’t even have a good selection of specific species of conch you want.

Any conch you can find at your LFS or online will do a good enough job, all in similar levels.

I agree with this, I used to have a fighting conch for several years in another tank. Great addition to my sand, was active 24/7

Yes was referring to which eat the most types of waste and are not picky in what they eat. Seems like tiger and fighting seem to be the gotos I’ll look into those. Thanks

I've had Florida Fighting Conchs, and Sea Hares (but not at the same time that I remember; not that you couldn't, I suppose, if you had enough of an algae problem, and a large enough tank.) They are algae-eating powerhouses!

Can't go wrong with a Fighting or Diana conch :) (I'd personally go with the fighting)
