Hi everyone,
I've got a nice big tank & I'm considering adding a snowflake moray. I've got hermit crabs, an urchin, a feather duster, a couple of serpent stars, & some small-ish fish like a basselet, chromis, & a dragon goby. Do you think the eel will target any of those guys? I know to stay away from shrimp...

Thanks!

My boss has one in his clients tank...it doesnt seem to mess with any of the fish...as long as you keep it fed and have the space for it...i think it should be fine. Dont get bit.

Inverts can become a meal but in many cases they will leave those inhabitants alone if they are well fed. The fish should be alright but there is always a risk. Lids for sure all eels can be jumpers. Overflows also need covers as they can sometimes take a ride down the drains. Eels are messy eaters and you should have a good skimmer on the tank to handle the extra bio load.

Only issues with these I've seen is when they change genders. I've heard as many good stories as I have bad.

How big of a tank? If 125-175g a chainlink would be a better option. If 180g or more then a Zebra is the best.

Thanks, everyone! The tank is a 200 gallon. I may be a little low on rock - how much is enough for a moray?
