I just picked up an Apex Classic yesterday and I'm really excited! It's my first aquarium controller.

I've read a few threads of people who have had issues with their dosing pumps getting stuck in the "on" position and crashed their tanks after overdosing two part. I have a question about using my Apex to shut down my dosing pump in the event of a pump malfunction.

For the Alkalinity I think I can simply write:

If pH > 8.4 then OFF

but what if the Calcium of Magnesium pumps get stuck? Anything I can do in this situation?

I should mention that the dosing pump is a Jebao 4 channel dosing pump and that the dosing schedule is programmed into the pump, not the Apex
