I have a couple favias that are growing and getting rather large. Is there any suggestion on how best to control them so they don't take over. They are on a very large rock structure that can't be taken out of the tank. I assume i probably could use a razer and trim back some of the edges but idk if this is bad idea or not.

Good question! Mine is on a solitary rock and completely covered by the favia, its starting to grow onto the sand and I don't want that. But I'm terrified of fragging it, I don't like fragging and I've never done it to a fleshy lps
