Cool Leather Thread?

The large one is just a toad stool leather. The one to the bottom left is called a cabbage coral.
But how is the toadstool so short and wide? Usually when I see toadstools they have a long neck. Is yours based in the sand?
 
My first toadstool since being back in the hobby. He’s one of my favorite habitants and growing already.

It has s pretty long neck. The coral is attached to it's own rock that is on the bottom but behind the rock that is visible

Good to know - Ordered my toadstool last night - I'll make sure that I stick him in the bottom and let him grow up.

Mine likes quite a bit of light and flow. I've had it for a several years. It was a few inches accross and now probably 10-12 inches. It used to be almost flat but as it got larger it started the curling (?) of the edges. Good luck with yours.
