How big of a water change should I do?

I typically shoot for 30%. Any less has reduced benefit. I'll change more if there is a specific water quality issue. The trick is to match the temperature and salinity so as not to shock the fish.

Have you tried UV? Even the coralvue 18W for 157 on Amazon will work (you’ll have to watch out for leaking or rusting long term with that design). I have found it to be a great equalizer. Pair it with a Sicce nano or micro even.

You can use it in the QT too and it will do the same thing and augment what your copper is trying to do…. It copper treatment has failed you. Upping the copper may kill the fish. But UV will kill the free swimming, infective parasite before it can reinfect your fish.

That’s a pretty cramped qt tank, I also would only treat one med at a time, only metro and prazi combined, how are you checking Cu concentration?

I’m checking Cu with a Hanna checker!
Unfortunately I had to pull everything out of the DT in an emergency and a 40B long is I could get my hands at 9pm!

I think my foxface went blind! I can get right next to him with freaking out!

Did a 30% WC today and started parzi…yes I do agree w/ one med at a time but right now I’m out of options!

Lost my fox face a few weeks ago! Everyone else is find…still in QT! 40 days in copper and 2 rounds of prazi!

Lost a few corals and CUC as they are in a small 20g tank I had!

I was running my new DT fallow but it sprang a leak!




72 days would have been next Friday!
Just finish emptying out the tank and having a beer looking at an empty tank!

Were you testing ammonia daily in your qt?

Also a lot of people say that more than 30 days of copper starts causing organ damage in fish.
