I cheated and bought one from divers den (that was sourced in the Philippines) that is already eating and somewhat established. I sold the other one to a friend before it even arrived and gave him advice from this thread! :D Hopefully it makes it but given my limitations (other fish in qt) I felt it better to send him to someone who can isolate it and provide less stress to give it the best chance, and pay the 30 dollar difference in price.

I don't want to kill any fish due to my ignorance. He is experienced and has wanted a copperband for awhile and benefited from not paying shipping since it came with other critters I ordered.

Do you have any links to scientific literature to support this? Everything I've read praising International Marinelife Alliance's work & programs... is literature by International Marinelife Alliance. ;) I suppose even something from the shady govt. of the Philippines and/or Indonesia is better than nothing.

I wasn't able to get the link, but look for info from the Secretariat of the Pacific Community, it is aregional intergovernmental organization that has commented on the work, as well as info from the World Resources Initiative.

Neither copperband is eating but both at least show interest in blood worms. The one from divers den was only in the tank an hour when I tried feeding. Will keep you guys updated. The other one is living in the sump of my other temp hospital tank at the moment until I re home him. My friend backed out.

I haven't seen the cbb in my sump that I tried that is from LA since a couple days ago but that's not too alarming. He was acting interested in food when I saw him a couple days ago I would say i am 70% sure he was eating. Doesn't mean he's alive still, but I'll keep everyone posted. Sump is easy to hide in. He's in there with a chevron tang. At least the DD specimen is eating for sure today!

Yeah this chevron (and every chevron I've ever had) is very mellow. Never shown any aggression at all ever. He's been bullied by other tangs temporarily though. My other chevron is also very mild. (I have two at the moment)

My Cheveron used to kind of stick up for the other smaller fish if they got bullied, it was like a mother hen.

I had a copperband for a year plus, I sold it to a local hobbyist. I was able to get it eating PE Mysis, then blackworms, and then I weened it onto Larry's Reef Service. It used to eat frozen from my hands, no problems. I like to get all my fish eating from my hands, it keeps the waste down, and that way you know everybody is eating :)

PE mysis soaked in oyster feast & arcti pods is the best food recipe I've tried. That combo works on almost any picky fish. I've done it with CBB and MI and had 100% success.

I remember the thread, it wasn't me but I'm amazed! Great, forward-thinking training!
