Coral colonies

Hi I didn’t know where else to put this. But I’m looking for the best online cite to purchase large coral colonies; LPS, SPS, Softies what have you.

I’m running a mixed reef and I have frags and some larger specimens, but I’m looking for something more developed to hopefully frag and bring to my LFS for credit/$.

You can sometimes find colonies for sale on the selling forum here or just through google. But tbh it's not common to find them and it's pretty expensive because people that have the colonies are the ones that cut them up. Following that, it's MUCH harder to ship a coral colony and quite a bit more expensive to ship them. The risks of them dying is a lot higher than a frag.

I have to agree that it's quite rare to see full colonies for sale.

Your best bet is finding someone who is taking down an established tank with large colonies. I buy whole tanks all the time that people are taking down. I find it is easier just to try and buy the whole thing before they start selling individual pieces and sort it out.
