Coral growth.

I have had a decent sized frag of pulsing xenia for around 1-2 years now. It however has grown very slowly but is about twice the size it was when i first got it. Are there any for lack of a better word “supplements” i could add to the tank so it grows faster and takes over my tank? I really want a full tank of coral and have only had frags in the past.
