I just upgraded my lighting, and the corals are looking better and colorful. My cal and alkalinity are within range. Do I need trace and amino acids to see growth?

You need time and stability and patience if everything is good :)

You need trace elements and amino acids to be present in the tank, yes. You don't necessarily need to dose those things to have enough of them, though. The food and salt should provide a reasonable amount of both.
