The coral started looking like that a week ago and today looked a little worse

I can’t tell how big the colony is, but if you can, you might try an iodide dip.

Size of a apple i was thinking of dipping the coral in coral dip that i use when i buy new corals. Iam not sure how to do a iodine dip is there a amount that you need to mix with tank water in a container is like doing a freshwater dip with fish ?

You can search online for "recipes" but I generally dilute it to the color of strong tea and then dip for 10-15 minutes. It's an antiseptic and might help if there's a bacterial cause or secondary infection.
