Maybe a NPS gorgonian....menella maybe. Have u seen any polyps?

Ya my bet would b menella. Going to require lots of fine particulate food feedings.

If no polyps, I would guess that it maybe a sponge....however, since polyps were seen.....this is a gorgonian and more than likely you can start your feedings when the lights are off in the tank. I remember having one over 7 yrs ago and didn't know how to keep this coral. Good luck with keeping it happy.

i would recommend moving it to an area with lower light, without the light bothering its polyps you may see it extend its polyps more often which will increase the chances of survival greatly.
