I just yanked this leather from my dad's reef, well neglected lol. His reef was my trash pile so to speak. Now he is trashing the system I took a large leather out and saw this.

Any one know what it is ?

Is the base hard or soft?
It looks like a green bubble tip anemone, with speckles.

I have no idea the based is encrusted with coraline

Looks like some kind of anemone.

If it's got a hard skeleton then it t might be a Hidden Cup coral.

I turned the power heads off to get these...maybe this can help .
