Getting back into the hobby after 12 years hiatus. Now frags are everywhere. I picked up a few frags from our LFS and I forgot to asked what these were. Any names will be appreciated. Thank you
Image 1 might be Green Star Polyps.
Image 2, a image with white light might help nail it down. If I had to guess I would say Rhodactus of some kind. I most definitely could be wrong.
Apologies on the poor picture quality as I discovered my phone camera needs a yellow filter. Please see new photos with corrected colors.
I think the st Thomas variant is correct based on my Google search on it. As for the first one, not sure about what was answered so far. Thanks for the replies
If the 1st one has a reddish base skeleton when the polyps are closed it's a Pipe Organ. If the base is pinkish with no obvious skeleton it Green Star Polyps.
If you can swish some water at it to get the polyps to withdrawal you will be able to tell for certain.
Following your suggestion, it looks like it has a reddish base. Hard to tell as they are obscured by hairy algae growing at the base. I am fighting a green hairy algae issue in restoring tank
