First of all, no, this is not a thread/topic that I am starting to get everyone all fired up as to whether all the crazy naming of corals is a good or bad thing.
Secondly, no, I am not hung up on any coral 'names' myself. I buy coral based on my liking, and not specifically a name.
Now the question I have:
Does anyone know if there is a Rosetta Stone of the different NAMERS of corals. Let me give a few examples to hopefully clarify my question.
JF Burning Banana <- The 'JF' here is Jason Fox.
WWC Jellybean Chalice <- the 'WWC' here is World Wide Corals
It's my understanding that what I am looking for (ex: JF, WWC, etc) was the person or company that first brought a specific into the trade. Again, I'm not overly hung-up on a corals 'name', however, if one is 'named', I wouldn't mind knowing the 'name' and possible 'lineage' associated with it for my own records.
I also placed this in the Lounge because I don't want to get anyone all fired up. :D
