Coral of the Week: Watermelon Chalice

In this chalice crazed hobby there has been a multitude of various morphs of chalice corals and one of those abounding morphs is the Watermelon Chalice. Let's talk about this chalice, share pics, and try and figure out how many morphs there actually is!

I wonder is how many morphs are actually the same morph, expect they've been kept under different lighting making them appear slightly different. My all time favorite watermelon is the tyree pink wm. I guess the og watermelon.

I have the red watermelon, but I'm having trouble getting the red out of it. Watermelons really are the best.

I wanna say its a red watermellon......id have to check an ID thread on a diff forum to be sure.

I've had this strain for several years and depending on the lighting it will vary from deep purple/blue to more of a reddish color, the yellow/gree eyes and skirt vary as well.
