Ok, so I bought a used UV sterilizer and cleaned it up good with vinegar.
While cleaning it, I noticed in the main body part what looked to be rust or something. Take a look at the pictures and let me know what you guys think. What is it, and is it safe to use?

The person I bought it from used it for 4 years in his tank without any problems and did a triton test recently and no metals showed up in his testing.

What would you do?
