coraline Algae and plastic

Is it me or do others on this forum find that coralline algae prefer to setup on plastic. I have been getting a lot of growth on everything but where I'd like it to be and it all seems to be plastic.

Any idea??

Yep carolline algae does indeed love to grow on plastic as to why in particular I have no idea.

Ironically was just thinking about this earlier as I was scrubbing it off one of my power heads

wish they made nice looking plastic live/dead rock they would be covered in no time LOL
