They come on plates. I usually put the plates one the back of the tank on a clip. Probably scrape them once a month and spread across the the tank.

This tank has been up since March I think. Started off with Marco dry rocks. Since it was a new tank, there wasn't much Coraline algae growth the first couple of months, only diatom and green film algae. Now after 6 months or some, the tank is maturing and Coraline is spreading throughout all the rock work.
