Ok guys it has completely taken over my life, and i do meen completely! My fiancee thinks i am crazy lol, but i know im not the only one out there that thinks about corals all day long. I catch my self relating corals or the reef hobby to everything i do on a daily basis, to the point were normal comparisons dont register in my brain anymore! Like for instance you say Halloween some peolpe think trick or treat, i think man i love the JFox jack-o-lantern lepto lol. Another thing is we are going on vacation in october to Myrtle Beach, she thinks its because i like myrtle beach, but really its because i want to pick up another crazy wellso from Sea Critters Depot and see what else he has. Today sorta made her question my sanity because i got my new refractometer in and decided before i put up my old one, i was sorta curious about checking salinty on our beverages in the fridge, needless to say i got alot of bad looks and alot of shaking of the head :tsk: lol. Oh yea gatorade i believe is made of pure salt lol. But i guess i was just wondering if its just me or do we all get wrapped up in it from time to time.

I think about my tank every second of the day, my wife thinks I am out of control, and I am, but it is so much fun. I have also tested the salinity of various liguids with my old swing arm, when I bought a refractometer. I thought I was the only one. I use my gaming chair and sit in front of the tank like it's the TV for hours, good time for sure.

LOL! You guys are crazy.

It's crazy how it gets. I got a new job out in San Francisco. All my buddies were going crazy about the weather, but I was like "I'm moving closer to the action" and "Man, I'm probably not going to need a heater or chiller all year"

I think it's somewhat inherent to the personality type of people who successfully keep marine aquaria long term. There's a certain obsessiveness about it, partly because there's always something to tinker with in these tanks.

very true about the tinkering, always something to play with

My fiancee thinks i am crazy also, all i do is talk about corals to her... i even start to talk how things relay around coral... she hates me cause she got me into the hobby and now im like all over it with stairing into the tank for hours on out and just sitting on the computer all day when i can researching different zoa's and other corals. but cause im a ZOO HEAD im looking at every zoa i can find and researching it she hates it but hey what can i cay. i love her tho lol.

she was talking about me biteing my nails and i told her dont worry they will grow back im just fragging them there getting to long for my liking. she was like your a messing child. lol i told her i was like a LPS dont worry im a fast grower. lol!!

I spend a great deal of free time looking at corals, reading about corals, checking out forums, researching future dream tanks, and generally drooling over everyone else's tank
I did get my husband to rearrange the family room so that I can now sit in my recliner and see my tanks better.....if I sit just right I can see the TV with my left eye and my tanks with my right LOL

Glad to see others as obsessed as I am about my tanks lol. So far I've managed to get a tank in ever room of the house except the bathrooms, I was told NO LOL.
