For a couple weeks now my corals have been quite closed up especially 1 of my goniporas and another LPS. I've been doing lots of water changes lately to try to fix whatever is going on and their starting to look slightly better but not 100% like they were before. I also bought an ALK and Phosphate hanna test kit as i suspected my phosphates were high which they were. The conclusion i have come to is the high phosphates and nitrates were causing the issues? I dont want to lose my gonipora it looks like its dying. i probably put a SPS in to fast and it bleached and died within 2 weeks Also as you can see i have been constantly battling algae growing on the glass
I do Water changes every week or 2 weeks, I have been quite slack though.
96L tank about 9 months old
4 fish 2 clowns/2 chromis
Lights on around 12-14 hours a day
1 coral banded shrimp
Temp: 25-27.5c
Salinity: 35PPT
Nitrates: 10-20ppm
Phosphates around 0.60ish
Calcium: 450
Alk 10.3
the photo of the closed tentacle LPS was before I did any water changes to remedy this.
Thanks guys
