I have some kind of leather coral from my LFS. It was nice and green throughout QT but after moving it to my DT it’s fading to brown. I tried areas with less light and more light but it’s continued on a downward spiral. Finally today I got a Seneye and based on that found what should be a good spot for it.

When I pulled it out of a hole in the rock this is what I found. A white spindly structure that looks like roots extending from the coral to the rock all the way around the frag plug. So, what am I looking at, is there a name for this? Is this the coral trying to grow and establish?
