Could Mummichogs live in SW?

I’m pretty sure they’re unkillable lol. There are thousands of them in the Chesapeake Bay Area where I work and the water temp is 36 degrees. They can definitely survive in full salt. I find them in the back bays of the Atlantic Ocean as well.

Used to catch them in the meadowlands which was full fresh and fish them as bait in salt. Not sure why i recall keeping them refrigerated on seaweed and no water unless I'm confusing that with eels. I know I did the latter but for some odd reason I think I did with mud minnows as well.

I feel like they could survive a dip in hydrochloric acid
