Covering wavemaker properly

Hey everyone I’m getting my tank ready ..I need to buy new wave makers what would be good 280? 480? Also very important please I have floss to cover them but I’m confused should I cover the wave makers completely? Sides and front ?? Please show pics of your covered wave makers thanks

Depending on the wave maker, you will want to cover where it sucks in water so that any inhabitants don't get sucked
into it. I am not sure using floss is a good thing as it might come loose, get into your wave maker and cause issues.

Are you talking about gyre style wave makers by the models you listed? if so, they should come with a net style cover that will go over the cages.

No they are fluval for temporary they don’t come with covering I’m only using fluval temporary until I can replace my original eflux cause everything is already set up for them I just need replacement heads
