So I've been toying with lighting lately. I've been running the BRS AB+ settings of
UV 118
V 101
RB 82
B 65
G 6
R 5
CW 19

I have loved this setting in the past. But with the new rockwork not being as tall in the tank my corals were not receiving adequate par. Seneye was only reporting around 150 par and even less at the bottom.
So I bumped up all my levels and took par readings
UV 118
V 118
RB 100
B 100
G 24
R 24
CW 24

These settings are giving me around 300 par at my acros. And runs about 18500K .Around 150 at the tank bottom.
Ran an acclimation mode and everything is responding positively to the increased par.
Also before I had the lights 8" off the surface. Right now they're sitting about 10" off the waters surface and I cannot lower them anymore. So with the increased mounting height and the corals being lower in the tank I needed to bump em up.

So, I love tinkering. And I have been considering a lighting change. I'm giving a serious consideration go going all T5. Id like to get my hands on the ATI 8 bulb T5 fixture. Thoughts on this for a full SPS tank?

I love T5. I would try it, but you really don’t need 8 bulbs for a 75. 6 would give you plenty of coverage and par.

And if you are going T5 you can’t go wrong with ATI.

Read through the whole build thread by the way. You have had quite a journey with this one. It takes a little stubborn (uh, I mean persistent) streak to be successful long term in this hobby and I see you have that. Hope everything continues to rebound with the new scape and lights, etc.

Thanks for the view! :)

I've actually talked myself out of it. However for coverage I want to add a 4th hydra so if anyone has one laying around hit me up lol

I am a fan of ATI T5. This is the 8 X 80 watt (yeah, I need to clean the splash guard). Over the first 6 months or so of use, my 2 Part consumption increased from 180ml to 288ml daily. (Yeah, somebody needs to learn me up on CaRx.)

Downsides?
a) I miss me some shimmer.
b) Generate some serious heat
c) sunburned forearms (+400 PAR eight inches below turbulent surface)

I am ecstatic to report that after months of struggling I was able to harvest this beast today! Gotta be a sign of a healthy system right?
