Hello, I have a 120g acrylic aquarium that has been up and running for a couple of years.

Recently I went on vacation and the person cleaning my tank pointed out 2 cracks and said it's a ticking time bomb.

Those 2 cracks have been there since the beginning and I don't think they have expanded at all.

The first crack is circled in red. It obviously goes straight through.

The second crack is circled in green. It doesnt go through.

Do you think I should be concerned?

Do I need to fix it or replace? The person said the following regarding fixing it :

"I get 4 pieces of half inch acrylic small pieces same area the cracks are , the acrylic glue I get Melts the acrylic together , I clamp the sections , once it's dried cracks are fixed and welded together "

I appreciate your help

Being the eurobrace, you can use weldon and drill two holes on each side and apply a plexi or acrylic brace with nylon screws for a fix

I’m inclined to agree with your friend: ticking time bomb. Hard to see how you didn’t notice that. The eurobrace is essentially sheared and has lost a significant percentage of its structural role. Don’t think a bit of Weldon is fixing that.
