I was hating my sump setup. I had micro bubbles in my display all the time, I was limited on skimmer size, my silencing pipe was broken so I had water slashing all the time. About the only thing that was nice was my fuge grew chaeto like crazy. Here are some pics of my old setup.

I finally decided that I was going to get a new setup. I contacted @Premiumaq and Bashsea to start planning the build. Both Luke with Premium Aquatics and Steve Bashsea with Bashsea are amazing to work with. After a few emails exchanges the build was on its way.

Equipment list:
Custom Bashsea SS-36
Skimz SK-201
Reef Octopus Varios 6
GHL Doser 2

So let's speed up a bit to the good part. I will let the pictures do the talking.

I wanted a custom ATO as well but I decided I would DIY. This was my first attempt at working with acrylic. It didn't turn out to bad.

I also made a top to go on top of the fuge for my fuge light to sit on.

I have a few things left to tidy up, but it's about 95% finished.

I have to say thanks again to Premium Aquatics and Steve Bashsea for such a wonderful experience. I think the project turned out better than expected. I'm lovin it!

Depends on what you are looking for. I would definitely recommend contacting Premium Aquatics, and they could give you a good ball park figure.

The Bashsea sumps run $250-1k on Premium Aquatics website.

new sump looks slick!
Why the glass heater in the RODI water container? you shouldn't need to heat up the make up water.
I would be concerned it can possibly crack if its out of the water and in the on position.

I'm swimming in circles waiting for my Bashsea custom. The colors look great. Sweet dosing containers, i can see a little fish on the bottom are those Bashsea as well?

Look like Voss water bottles that he has written A and C on so he keeps his 2 part straight

Actually they are the 800ml glass Voss water bottles, and I just scraped off the printing with a razor blade.

Put some sand in the fuge today. Picked up CaribSea Bermuda Pink. I love the grain size and color. This will probably be my sand of choice when I switch to a 120.

Picked up a Bashsea media chamber and a Bio pellet reactor. Hard plumbed the return line and added a manifold to run the reactors off of. Inspiration from fellow reefers on the forum.
