So heres my pic. This is my 40 gallon frag tank with crappy t5 lighting. I have what looks to be two polps however one of the nubs has never opened. This is tied into a 300 gallon system which supports my 150 gallon main display. I have also attached a pic of the frag tank that it will be moved to this week. I need to do a total tear down of the 40 gallon and start from scratch with a new frag tank and I am considering a 150 or 250 mh light. It will update next month. Good luck everyone ) I have no clue why the pics turn sideways when I uploaded them.

Okay here we go again LoL. I figured out the pic issue. 40 Gallon breeder tied into 300 gallon system. 65 gallon sump. No refugium. Crappy T-5 single bulb (for now). Skimmed. Water changes very rarely. There are two fish in this frag tank but there are 6 more in my main display. I do not feed my corals. I have what looks to be 2 polyps. one has somewhat opened and the other has yet to open. I will be doing an overhaul on the frag tank. Next months photo will show the new set up with hopefully new lighting. Good luck !!!

I've been having all kinds of issues with my tank (especially sps) and so put the frag in and kind of forgot about it. It's apparently growing well so at least something is going right....losing most of my SPS :(

Barely making it. Embarrassed to show my tank at the moment so I've been putting it off. I had a bit of an accident. I am transitioning to a larger tank an thought the system was settled in and stable. I was feeding heavily and monitoring parameters for the better part of a week and was seeing no detectable NH3/4, No3, or NO2. I backed off on the feeding to normal levels and eased up on the testing, which turned out to be a bad idea. I ended up getting an ammonia spike much later than I expected, when I had a lot of other stuff going on of course, and the corals suffered.

· What size is your tank?
About 2.4 gallons. I rebuilt and modified a deep blue 5 Betta tank to be an all in two. The sump sits behind the tank, which has an almost coast to coast overflow.

· Sump?
Yes, brings total volume to about 4.7 gallons.

· Refugium?
Yes. Split one half to a Jubert style plenum, the other half is a couple inches of miricle mud. Need to order some live sand from the gulf to add organisms and sand to the display.

· Lighting?
LED, Coral Box Moon plus. Need to write an app for it because it is barely functional on an iPad.

· Skimmer?
No

· Water changes?
Typically weekly, currently twice a week until I get things stable and happy again.

· How many fish do you have?
None

· Do you specifically feed your coral?
Yes. I culture phyto and feed a few different frozen foods, Reef Frenzy nano, OVA, ATM 2.0 microplankton, oyster eggs, and cyclopods.

They are not open at the moment, but I'm starting to get a third polyp.
I'll have to break out the camera and tripod this week and try to get some better pictures, or at least find my gels and do something to correct the color ballance.

I'm done
I lost mine the first day when putting the frag in my tank. I knocked them off and watched them fly into oblivion. I sent out a search party but alas I now officially declare them lost at sea, a moment of silence please.
