Welcome to the Reef2Reef POTM Contest - Photo of the Month

Sponsored by
Avast Marine!

This month's subject - Timelapse

Deadline to Enter: 20th Apr, 2024 at 11:59 pm (EST)

Looking forward to great shots of your timelapses ! Remember, the photo has to have been taken by you, and the subject has to be in your aquarium.
No watermarks or captions are allowed in the pictures and pictures with watermarks will be disqualified.
A bit of info around your topic and the timelapse and how your acquired it would add value to the discussion.

This is a photo contest after all and we're looking for the best photograph. Yes, you can use a post-editing product to better your pictures. In fact, we encourage it.
Few tips:
Carefully chose a topic thats interesting and that happense relatively in a short time so you can capture it.
Expreiment with different viewing abgles as well as different frame rates to decide on the most interesting angle and frame rate.
you might need to start the white lights in your tank to picture something opening but again you can do a timlapse of a coral feeding or oher where your lights would already be on.

As always refer to the multiple photography articles or post any questions you might have on the photography forum for better support. Maybe also post a few pictures for suggestions and critique to improve your shots wile preparing for this months contest as well.
it is a rather unusual topic but is a nice exercise for us all who haven't done timelapses to start experimenting as there are many opportunities in tanks for amazing timelapses

any sequence of images will do, be it a Gif a time lapse or a collage of few pictures of a coral opening, feeding, or other... ideally a time lapse shot in camera is the true intent. its a challenging topic for many and I want us to start exploring new options in photography like timelapse, focus stacking... so will will have a more flexible approach in those POTMs to allow members to participate whith whatever they can achieve... its a FUN project by definition so we're open to any submissions that are close to the topic and we'll let the voting decide for the winner !
happy reefing and picture taking all and lets have a fun POTM

This one probably doesn't meet the prompt and definitely isn't a winner but:
A Year of Birdsnest (well, 10 months but might as well be a year?)

In my opinion it moves a little to quick. If you Slowed it down a little it would be fantastic.

@maroun.c . Can we disregard the first post. I was stupid and didn’t pay attention. I’d like to use this as my submission if possible

I agree. I was trying but couldn't figure it out. I'll work on it some more.
