I had to submit a headshot to a potential employer once and accidentally sent them a full-body shot instead…

I’m not saying I’m right but for me it has to be either cropped to the head or like this one where the head is straight on.

Just my opinion though

IMO I think it’s a shot that focuses primarily on the face

It doesn’t mean the photo has to be cropped to only show the face but rather when the photo is viewed that is what the eye is drawn to.
