i am super excited because i am getting ready for a big (for me) upgrade! but also really nervous because this is the first time that ive put a build together all by myself. so i am hoping for lots of you to chime in and help me! it wont be fast going im sure. but please feel free to give your opinion!
we go tomorrow to pick up the set up. its about 5 hrs. from here. its a CDA tank 180 gallon tank with a bashsea sump. i found a business selling the set up. they had put it together for a client who changed his mind. so they took it down. it had water in it but no livestock. so its in like new condition.
i think i will replace the sand instead of moving it from my current tank. thoughts? whats a good rule of thumb to know how much to buy?

Beautiful setup with the canopy. For the sand you can use this site to give you an idea. It will depend if you want fishes sleeping in the sand bed.

Definitely ask questions and seek advice, but dont sell yourself short. Listen to your instincts and what has worked for you. You know how to reef!
I can't wait to be a bad influence and try to talk you into buying every coral that will no longer fit in my tank.

thankfully i have 3 big strong boys and my husband!! although im getting threats that they wont be available when its time to pull it out. lol. im driving them crazy because whenever they come in the house i say- hey! wanna give me a hand with the tank? i bet you and i can do it! itll be interesting to say the least!
itll be a tank transfer luis. ive been forbidden to have more than one big tank! lol. probably a good thing!
