I am wondering if these have a common name. They are extremely bright and pretty cool, so I figure they would but don't know.

(I truly am just wondering what these are - I don't have frags, and don't plan on fragging them) :)

Actinic shot - they are just about as bright under my halides though. I actually like them better under full lighting.

those are eagle eyes.

Thanks Wicked.

I guess I got screwed a while back when I got some then. Cause these things are SWEET! They're as bright as my AOG's.
The ones I had before that were called Eagle Eyes looked like this - and sucked as far as color.

I this picture below off of coralpedia - they have a picture similiar to mine on there too.

I guess it all depends who you get them from.

that pic from coralpedia looks more like whamin watermelons, eagle eyes are brighter, more orange, and yellower fingers. Also there is a possibility that they are japanese deep water zoas there are japs that look like whamin watermelons and eagle eyes, and keds reds with red fingers, and ph's with no alternating skirt and thicker ring and they all seem to be brighter colors.

That is what I was told they were, was japanese deepwaters, I just thought maybe they had a name.

I also got another one like it from the same person, they're red but not as bright/reflective.

I would have to say deepwater zoas. I have gotten them in that look pretty much just like the ones in the photo.

Really nice coloration, they must glow with actinics.

To be honest they glow with or without them. Thats with most of the stuff I am trying to keep right now.

LOL @ you guys.

They're going to be called "no namers" - The color can speak for themselves.

They look like some pretty "common" zoa's, just really colorful. I've gone through a lot of different zoa/palys in the tank. These are keepers though.

I think the deepwater name is just given to any zoa with this pattern on it. I have had most of the deepwaters before and they weren't as bright. Including the red ones I have now.
I'd like to get 3-4 different colors like these one's (just as bright too) and grow them all on the same rock.

Here is a quick picture I took through the glass.
I really like them cause they are pretty simple, but are bright.

This is under Mh's about 10 min ago :)

Although, they do look more like eagles eyes then the real eagle eyes do. If that makes any sense.
