Hi all,

I am considering changing out my SICCE 1.5 return pump in my 32 Gallon AIO for a DC return pump. I always like potential energy savings and would love to be able to control the level of flow through the system. One model I‘m considering is the eFlux Loop DC Flow Retuen Pump (6008, 520 GPH) from Current USA.

While I certainly don’t need 520 GPH, a tad more than my existing pump would help and I could run at less than max.

anyone use this model and have any comments on its reliability?

Thank you

I've got a current-usa setup and it's kinda underwhelming. I can't say anything bad, I had a powerhead go out after a year but everything else is holding up after almost 3 years. The app can be finicky sometimes. If the lights were better, I'd probably be a bigger fan.

USing the current usa1050 gpm version for 6 years. Have 2, swap 1 out every year for cleaning. No issues. Very quiet.
Would buy again..

I upgraded from Sicce Syncra to the SDC WiFi pumps and never looked back. I know they're a bit more money, but you do get that 5-year warranty/dependability.
I had looked at this, but I wanted to see how the Current pump stacked up as far a reliability. I have time so I thought I would shop around.

My last 3 systems have all been run on Current USA return pumps, upgrading each time, each one has been rock solid and silent.

The only thing I find a bit lacking is the controller, I wish there were an exact readout of power usage (like the Jebaos).

edit: It is important to note that Current USA did shut down earlier this year, warranties on their products are honored by saltwateraquarium.com.

Echo all the above sentiments. My return pump has been solid. The power heads stink I replaced them both after 6 months and eventually switched to Vortech

I meant SA was going to continue the brand not shut it down. Somehow left out "SA"
