Custom building a nano sump

I want to build a sump for my 29g nano tank. The stand underneath is tiny but I figured 11"w x 15"l x 16"h. Question is what thickness of acrylic do I need. I have been hearing 1/4". Suggestions on what websites to buy material would be nice too. Thanks.

1/4" should be fine if you wish to build a sump.

is a good site for purchasing online. There generally is a plastic supplier in most towns that will sell to the public too.
They might even to the basic fab for you also if you have never worked with acrylic. There is a lot of special bits and saw blades required.

Iam a good diyer should I even bother trying to make it. I watched a lot of YouTube video and it doesn't seem to complicated

What I do is my an aquarium the size I need then have glass baffles cut to the sizes I need. I build when I have too and mod to save me time.:)

The problem Iam having is that the only size tank that will almost fit is a 5 1/2 gallon but even that the length is a little long. Idk what to do

I used a 7.5 gallon Mr Aqua tank for my 25 gallon Mr Aqua.
