Noticing Cyano for the first time ever in my 2 year LPS dominated tank. It almost came over a couple days but it came in strong. All my parameters are pretty stable with the only change being a dead turbo snail. Could this cause it? It is quickly growing over some of my hammers and they look pretty upset. I am familiar with patch removal, black out the tank and ensure all nitrate and phosphate levels are not too low or too high (25 and 0.5 respectively and have been like that for a good long time). Anything else anyone recommends as far as the affected coral where it is growing on? Could the turbo cause this? Currently dosing Microbacter clean as well.
I am also familiar with the sand removal method but I am trying to avoid that as my tank is 120 gal with a lot of sand for my buring gobies and sand sifting organisms. I have plenty stars and conches, couple tangs, couple clowns, couple gobies and shrimp. I havent had any fish or coral die but the ticked off hammers are already messing with my zen man
