Hello guys I am starting a jbj 65 gallon reef tank with dry rock,live sand and fritz live bacteria.....should I do water changes while cycling???.I am. Tank has no lights on it gonna keep no lights on it for about 4 months...thank you

I don't advocate water changes during the cycle. Once the cycle is complete, you'll want to do a big water change, around 75%, to reduce your nitrate levels.

With nothing live to lose don't bother with water changes until you need to export nitrates when you start adding livestock. Always good to add a source of ammonia when starting out with dry rock to give the bacteria something to feed on which help to promote their growth. With live bacteria like fritz, your cycle should be done in a week or two.
