I've had this cyphastrea for about 3 weeks now. Had it at the bottom of my tank in a shaded area (but still some light). Up until a few days ago, I noticed it's polyps not opening and today a white/dead spot forming. I just moved it to a more shaded spot under a ledge to see if it's the lighting. But does anyone have any thoughts of where this piece should be placed? Should I keep it where it is and see how it does, or move to a more open/higher light section of the sandbed?
I'll post parameters tomorrow, but I do weekly water changes and all my other LPS/SPS corals are doing great (knock on wood).
