If you can write down a proper question with periods and comma's it really helps understand what you want. Otherwise good luck.
I’m with you, I’m kinda confused what is being asked. @Should I, are you asking about a bigger tank?
Someone to feed the eel?

Fish store has had this eel for ages

OP needs 5 months before they can get a bigger tank

OP wants the eel and only has a 36” tank

OP asked LFS how long they can hold the eel for him - answer is 1 month

OP wondering if they I’ll hold it longer if he pays for the eel and pays for its care while they work on getting a bigger tank

What’s being asked of us: could a 36” tank work if he designed it for an eel habitat with pvc pipes
