So after a few hours here is the sump plumbing done .

What size fittings did you use to connect directly to the reefer return line? I remember having trouble with flex tubing with my 170. Looks really nice too! Good job!

Nice choice!... it's really accurate for measuring the PAR of LEDs.

Great choice on the lights - I love mine! Will 3 xr15's be enough on a 525?

I'm really keen to see what you think of the seneye reef monitor - I was thinking of getting one too as a apex alternative.

yeah some of the parts can be heavy but i like building things so not that bad for me now getting the tank on it with just me and my dad was a task.
Do you by chance know if you can purchase just the tank without the stand and sump?

You can not. I looked into this. I wanted to purchase my own sump but the ship as units. I am selling the sump in my local reef club. Might be able to part the stand out too. They are really nice

Thanks. Reason why I ask is because the stand they sell is too low for my liking. I want a stand that's 42-44" tall so I can view the tank standing up and it's pretty much eye level.

Ya I agree with that. If it was just a bit taller that would be nice. But my kids enjoy the height of them and it keeps them from climbing up stuff to see the nemos. Lol

What size fittings did you use plumbing your return line? I wanted to order some plumbing before the tank arrives but want to make sure the correct size :)
