Dark Red plant/algae?

Hi all. I'm pretty sure this ?plant? killed my mummy eye chalice, as it was growing on the same piece of rock as the chalice. The chalice was doing great, then all of a sudden started sloughing off and dying. Seemed to coincide with this plant getting larger, but not positive. The plant is actually gorgeous, a very deep red, with serrated edges on the leaves. Can anybody ID the plant, or give me info on it? Would be very grateful. Thanks

Sorry for the cruddy pic. You can see what's left of the mummy eye to the left of the plant if you look close. Maybe this pic will show up better

Can't be 100% sure from this pic, but it looks like Cyanobacteria aka "red slime algae" I had these little red bushes popping up all over. Make sure the area is getting good flow, cyano thrives in stagnant water.
