Hello,
Over the past couple weeks one of our live rocks has sprouted quite a few of these red growths. They have gave now spread to other rocks in the tank. They seem to be spreading fast. Anyone know what they are? Thanks!

It’s a macro algae. Difficult to ID at the moment, it needs to grow a little more.

What does it feel like?

It's very soft, not slimy though. I dont mind the looks of it all right now, but since it seems to be spreading quick wasn't sure if it will become a big headache later.

Likely a Gracilaria spp, but honestly impossible to tell at this stage. Let it grow out and see what you get. It might be a nice ornamental.
