Ok, so in my disease ridden (!) DT my clowns breed regularly... I've never really taken much interest in trying to raise fry.
This morning my humbug damsels laid eggs for the first time and I am interested in methods of raising the larvae if anyone has experience? I have a spare QT tank which could be utilised for raising fry...
Having raised loads of 'challenging' FW species over the years, I don't think d.aruanus is beyond me.
I'm thinking of doing the following:
1. Set up QT with water from DT to ensure chemistry is matched.
2. Place rock with eggs from DT into QT and provide gentle water movement to mimic parents fanning the eggs.
3. Once (hopefully) hatched, I understand larvae develop mouths and stomachs on around day 3. So will add phyto and rotifiers at end of day 2.
As a start, will that work? This is my first time trying to raise any marines, so may be way off the mark!
