Dc - Dc Feed Mode

I'm currently looking to diy a feed mode for a return pump on a pico with sump setup. I plan on using a 12v 20ah battery system just for return pump and using an inline switch to manually turn off when needed.

Can this be used? I assume, if yes, it would be like this..

I realized I messed up and labeled the input as pump. Derp. Ordered one anyways to play with.
