Dead blue leg crabs

I found these in my tank this morning ‍ we did add 6 tiny new blue leg crabs two days ago.. don't know if that is related, being it's a 54 gallon tank and there were only maybe 6 in there to begin with... These are older crabs I'm pretty sure, but idk since I can't find the shells. Maybe just the cycle of life? I'll test here later today when baby takes a nap..

Possibly 'malts' ? crabs shed an outer layer of skin as they grow bigger.
Hermit crabs also need a good supply of shells in various sizes to move into as they grow

No problems but I'm a newbie also, I love hermit crabs, mine was fighting all the time until I added new shells, it calmed them down so much
