have a 20 qt with a filter ment for a a tank up to a 75g and a hygers wave make I ran on a 55 gallon last year. I had not done a water change since I set it up no fish and got the fish on saturday and a long with some hermit crabs for a little bit of waste Woke uop today and dead Domino damselfish baby ate mysis I had lying around from February still good

Is the question what killed your domino? If I had to guess, I would say ammonia. Was the tank cycled? Some pictures would help.

the tank was set up in August
Have you tested for ammonia? Was the water previously medicated with anything? How did you acclimate the fish? It may not be an acclimation issue since it has been a couple of days since you got him. Trying to determine what the cause/issue was after it has happened can be impossible to say for sure.

ammonia 0 no meds just some live rock and the cocopods population was high feather dusters on the rocks seem fine did not dripp acclimate no velvet of ich inverts seem fine

Damsels are the hardiest and meanest.That must be something really a thing that got the job done !!

the tank is on the floor and near the door it gets cold do you think it got to cold
suction cup thermostats are pretty cheap, you can get them at you LFS so less then $3.

Id invest so you can regulate the temperatures.

yeah $1 great price yeah damselfish are the hardest to kill so I was ticked when I got out of bed before school and saw this I am going to get a springer in 2 weeks to replace

Any unusual signs like heavy breathing, swimming at top, bobbling in the water current as examples?
